B Corps Who Are the Counterbalance to the Current Administration
To date, Donald J. Trump has signed over 70 Executive orders. While it feels like decades of progress is being erased overnight, many companies are still choosing to do the right thing—investing in their workers, protecting the planet, and strengthening their communities. Even in the face of regressive and short-sighted policies under the Trump-Musk administration, Certified B Corps continue to prove that ethical leadership isn’t just possible—it’s profitable, sustainable, and necessary.
In this post, we are highlighting a few of the leaders shaping a better future. From innovative partnerships for diverse talent, support for immigrants and women's health to prioritizing environmental responsibility, these are companies that operate with integrity and endeavor to use business as a force for good.
IGP is proud to work with all of the companies mentioned—Bear Lake Coffee Co., BLISS Health, Chabaso Bakery, Good Clean Love, Publish your Purpose, Red Orange Studio.
Bear Lake Coffee Co. is dedicated to exceptional coffee, farmers around the world, and their local community. They craft every cup with a commitment to sustainability, innovation and giving back–donating 2% of annual revenue back to the communities they serve. Their commitment to the environment is evident in many ways–from their solar powered cafe and EV charging stations in rural Wisconsin, to roasting with clean Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) to their coffee refill program, they are committed to lowering their carbon footprint and are well on their way to their Net Zero 2030 pledge.
BLISS Health was founded with the goal of providing comprehensive medical care to patients living with or at risk of HIV, STDs, and Hepatitis.
Bliss Health's nonprofit arm, BlissCARES assists uninsured and underinsured with their health needs. TRANSformation is a Bliss CARES program for transgender and gender non-conforming individuals. The program’s focal point is to guide and inform individuals about the basics of gender transitioning.
The courses include information about safety and legal rights, medical treatments, and surgery procedures, understanding HIV and STDs, and the importance of mental health before and after the transition process. The interactive classes also include career counseling. At completion of this course, BLISS CARES will assist with legal name, gender marker change, and sponsors all costs associated with it. The entire process ends with a graduation ceremony and a celebration of a new beginning.
Chabaso Bakery hires individuals facing barriers to employment in Fair Haven, a low-income community in New Haven, CT with high poverty and unemployment rates. Many are immigrants. Chabaso provides multilingual technical training to help employees secure stable, long-term jobs. By investing in workforce development, Chabaso strengthens both its employees and the Fair Haven community.
Good Clean Love founded and funds the Institute for Vaginal Health (IVH), formerly Sexual Health and Wellness Institute, provides independent research and evidence-based resources to help medical professionals make informed decisions about women's vaginal microbiome health. Instead of keeping their research and findings proprietary, Good Clean Love and IVH provide education on scientifically-backed research, donate thousands of sample products, and work to expose misleading advertising about vaginal health in the personal care industry.
Jenn T. Grace, founder of Publish your Purpose, supports DEI efforts by actively working with authors from underrepresented communities, including LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and other marginalized voices, to ensure their stories reach wider audiences. She provides resources, mentorship, and publishing opportunities to purpose-driven leaders, helping them navigate the publishing industry and share narratives that challenge systemic inequities.
Red Orange Studio believes the purpose of every business is to make a positive impact. They help tell their clients’ stories of how they are making a difference in the lives of their team, their customers and their community. Red Orange Studio is doing just that! This creative and marketing agency based in Richmond, VA introduced an internship program working exclusively with HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) back in 2021. Partnering with Virginia State University and Norfolk State University, their program involves guest teaching, attending portfolio reviews and providing a structured work experience for HBCU students. As a bonus, their internship program has proven to be a great way for Red Orange to find emerging talent and hire the best and the brightest for their team.
