A Holistic Approach to Sustainability Management

B Corp Certification and Recertification

B Impact Assessment

gap analysis

In 2026, B Lab introduced a new version of the B Impact Assessment, V2.1, the most sweeping change to the B Corp standards yet. IGP’s consultants partnered with more than ten early adopters of the V2.1 standards to conduct in-depth Gap Analyses. These companies—diverse in size, sector, and geography—helped us rigorously test our tools and approaches, helping ensure that our clients are well prepared for the coming changes to the B Impact Assessment before undergoing the certification or recertification process. By conducting a thorough gap analysis of our clients’ current practices compared to the new standards, we can provide strategic input to maximize readiness for the rigorous version V2.1.

Impact Improvement

IMPROVEMENT planning

After completing the B Impact Assessment, we work with clients to establish measurable goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for improving their business impact in the long run. This is a great opportunity to plan for improvements beyond the B Impact Assessment based on a gap analysis, your firm’s theory of change, or the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We create a quantitative and qualitative summary of the metrics most important to your business, and help prioritize and track the most actionable and impactful goals. This process helps clients identify how to grow and expand their environmental and social impact in concrete, measurable ways and prepares them for recertification.

impact Reporting

Creating and sharing an annual impact report is an obligation of all Benefit Corporations and Benefit LLC’s. Writing Impact Reports can be a burdensome and administratively intensive task. IGP helps create visually compelling impact reports designed to convert the array of impact activities and metrics into easily understandable insights. An Impact Report communicates a company’s impact to a broad range of stakeholders: employees, customers, investors, suppliers, the Board, and the wider community, allowing stakeholders to become champions of the company's missions and values.

Materiality Assessment

A materiality assessment is a strategic process used to identify and prioritize the ESG issues that matter most to a company. By focusing on the factors that have the most significant impact, companies can ensure they are addressing the most critical aspects of their operations and value chain. By identifying and addressing the most significant ESG issues, companies can improve their sustainability performance, manage risks more effectively, and build stronger relationships with stakeholders.

IGP can help you take proactive steps to ensure your business is prepared for the future. The benefits of a materiality assessment are clear: improved risk management, better regulatory compliance, and a stronger, more sustainable business.

IGP offers a standard discount of 20% for companies that meet the following criteria: greater than 50% owned by or led by a CEO who is a member of the following groups: Black, indigenous, people of color or LGBTQIA+.
